Fool for God
Standing in front of about 200 people. It came bubbling out. Twice. “I’m a Fool for God.”
The truth is that sometimes I am a fool for God and sometimes I WANNA be. And times, I kinda blow God off, honestly.
While I was appreciating the relaxation of the holiday weekend, I was pondering something that troubles me. I’m a mystic. I love what I call God, more than I can say.
What troubles me is how turned off to “God” people have become. How synonymous God has become with religion. And how misguided that might be. Really, yuck.
My God is so amazing, I just want more people to feel it! To feel the Beloved-ness of God. Maybe that should be my prayer!
But I have to wonder why are people so turned off by God? What do we think of when we think about God? What IS God to you – or anyone? How do you imagine God? A mentor once reminded me that there are probably as many ‘definitions’ or experiences of God as there are people on the planet.
Yeah, so what IS God to you?
Just really curious… would appreciate feedback!!
