Sending you prayers of love and peace during this holiday season!

Before you read any further, though, I’d like to invite you to take just a few moments to slow down and just breathe. Notice the gentle in and out breath.

You may have dozens of things on your mind or your to-do list, but give yourself the gift of letting it all go for these few moments and be present with your breath. Trust me, everything will still be there afterwards and you may be just a tad more relaxed and better able to deal with it all.

Let’s face it: the holiday season often brings a mixed bag – you may have moments of childlike joy (who doesn’t love all those twinkly lights?), but you may also experience a sense of obligation, and underlying tension that can feel overwhelming. It’s often a time filled with expectations – your own AND everyone else’s! Conscious expectations, and especially unconscious ones, can kick up emotions, stirring up memories (and misgivings) about personal journeys, family dynamics, and even global situations.

As women who’ve lived through a few holiday seasons, often exhausting ourselves, isn’t it time we approached the holidays a little differently? By redefining holiday “success,” you get to release the pressure to create picture-perfect, Norman Rockwell moments and instead embrace experiences that nourish YOUR spirit.

What would feel wonderful to YOU?

Make a plan to do those things – or at least to take some time out of an already-jammed schedule for yourself. Make time to fill your own cup.

For instance, you could join my Holiday Heart Support call on Wednesday, December 18th at 4:00 pm pacific. Click here to register. I hope you’ll be able to join!

Wishing you a nurturing holiday season,

Kamala
